Our research suggest updating 3-4 times per year. I like to do updates at the end of the year. Maybe do updates about 1 month before your IDP or annual review occurs. The benefit of updating often is that if you have a new application for a job you see of interest, grant, or training opportunity you already have it ready.
This also implies to keep training. One book on high performance habits mentions consistently performing not just at training, not just at tenure review, but always. Our prep manual contain training events for each biomedical area of interest. These will launch in March 2026 for National Biomedical Career Development Month.
This month we will host our CV-A-Plooza where we will work together online to update CVs. This training is $25 with a 2 hour engagement. You will also get our 2026 CVcheck with more indepth information on how to use the CV for career advancement and sustainability.
