
We want to share our thoughts about how successful biomedical career building is accomplished. The pathway is not a one-time use framework, but after each advancement step -start again.
Sustainability reflects the length of time associated with any 1 training era. For example, I remember my postdoctoral fellowship at MD Anderson. This would have reflected a very short sustainable timeline if I was not educating myself in the types of funding available to me and I did not seek training in the new Biosketch format that was required at that time. This was part of the inspiration for creating BC-Biomed Careers as I had to teach myself and I figured information is probably useful to others in biomedical science.
Knowledge and application of the language of the field shows your clarity of the biomedical career area. This results from workforce training and education. Our career prep manuals detail this uniquely for each career topic. Check back as we are updating content for 2025.
